Homages Pour In for the Reiners as Autopsy Reports Face a Security Hold.

More than two weeks subsequent to the heartbreaking passing of celebrated film director Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, peers and loved ones are still paying respects to the pair.

A Heartfelt Farewell: Cary Elwes Remembers His Director

Writing on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who was featured in Reiner's iconic movie *The Princess Bride*, mentioned he just recently felt prepared to post publicly about his deep grief.

"Adequate time has gone by that I can finally put my grief into words," shared Elwes, adding that his initial encounter with Reiner made him fall in love. "When we commenced sharing more moments together I understood this was someone I wanted in my life."

The actor shared archival material from the movie, remarking that he doesn't recollect "a single day without joy".

"The film is about affection, allegiance and giving. Values that Rob held dear. Which is among the many reasons he was the perfect person to guide it," Elwes continued.

He went on to praise Michele Reiner, noting: "To say that they were a great team would be an oversimplification. My heart still hurts every time I recall you." He concluded with a quote from *The Princess Bride*: "Sure, death cannot stop true love but living is anguish without you."

Martin Scorsese Recalls a Fellow Artist

In a separate tribute, legendary director Martin Scorsese shared memories of Reiner, whom he first met in the 1970s.

"Right away, I loved hanging out with Rob. We had a instant connection for each other. He was very funny and sometimes sharply witty, but he was never the kind of guy who would take over the room," Scorsese wrote.

Scorsese highlighted Reiner's cameo appearance in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, playing the father of the lead role.

"He was skilled at improv with the best. He was a virtuoso at comedy, he worked seamlessly with the cast, and he understood the emotional dilemma of his character," Scorsese noted.

Legal Developments: Autopsy Reports Withheld

In a new development, a Los Angeles court official ruled to block the disclosure of the Reiners' post-mortem findings, after an appeal from the LAPD.

A judicial mandate issued a embargo on the files to limit the public release of "any investigative information, evidence and photographs" pertaining to the ongoing investigation.

The relevant authority had already determined their deaths were the result of foul play, with a record noting the cause as "multiple sharp force injuries".

Response and Criticism

After the killings, public individuals expressed varying reactions.

Ex-President Donald Trump wrote on the matter, making provocative statements that were met with immediate backlash by numerous individuals.

Podcaster Joe Rogan lent his voice to the those speaking out last week. Conversing on his podcast, Rogan characterized the remarks as "shocking" and remarked they revealed a troubling absence of compassion.

Rogan concluded by proposing that an associate should have stepped in when the choice to comment on the passing was made.
