Dominant Sabalenka Secures Consecutive WTA Top Player Honors.
World number one Aryna Sabalenka has been selected the Women's Tennis Association top performer of the year for a second successive season.
The twenty-seven-year-old secured four tournament victories – the highest tally on the circuit – including successfully defending the US Open in September versus Amanda Anisimova to secure her fourth career Grand Slam singles triumph.
A Season of High Performance
Across the season, Sabalenka competed in a circuit-leading nine finals, with losses coming to Madison Keys in the Australian Open final in January and Coco Gauff in June's French Open final.
The Belarusian also won the Brisbane International early in the season, the Miami Open in March, and the Madrid Open in May. She spent the entire year as the world number one, concluding 2025 on top of the rankings for a second successive year.
In July, she became the first player to top 12,000 WTA ranking points after Serena Williams in 2015.
Historic Statistics
Sabalenka concluded the competitive year with a sixty-three to twelve match record, and picked up a record ÂŁ11m in earnings.
She earned nearly 80% of the votes cast by international tennis media.
On 28 December, she is poised to compete against 2022 Wimbledon finalist Nick Kyrgios in a high-profile mixed-gender exhibition match in a bid to "raise women's tennis to a greater prominence".

- Comeback Player of the Year: Switzerland's Belinda Bencic, twenty-eight, was voted after taking a 13-month break following the birth of her first child and returning to the sport at the start of this year.
- Rookie of the Year: Canadian teenager Victoria Mboko was honored with the award after starting the season positioned outside the world's top 300 and rising to world number 18.
- Doubles Team of the Year: Katerina Siniakova and Taylor Townsend earned the title after securing their second career Grand Slam title as a pair.
- Most Improved Player of the Year: Amanda Anisimova received the accolade after making five championship matches.
Recently, Carlos Alcaraz won three awards in the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) Awards, including the season-ending top rank award, while Jannik Sinner was voted the fan favorite for a third time.
