Chief Executive Gives Green Light to Sending State Militia to Chicago, as Federal Judge Prevents Portland Deployment.

This past weekend, the administration confirmed that the Commander-in-Chief has authorized the deployment of the national guard to the Illinois city, even as a court official halted his administration from deploying forces to Portland, Oregon.

Executive Branch Reveals Chicago Forces Move

A spokesperson for the White House revealed that the chief executive had authorized using Illinois guard troops, citing what she described as “ongoing violent riots and unrest” that local leaders have been unable to stop.

In Oregon, US district judge Karin Immergut supported the state’s assertion that the President dispatching guard forces to the Oregon metropolis would probably escalate rather than ease public unrest.

“This judgment confirms what residents of Oregon already know: the legal system worked, and facts won out,” the top official in Oregon said after the court order was issued. “No rebellion exists in Portland. National security is not at risk. No flames, no devices, no loss of life due to social disturbances.”

State Leader Describes Move Unwarranted

The Democratic governor, the state leader labeled the action unnecessary and “a staged event – lacking genuine intent to protect public safety.”

Federal Court Halts Oregon City Troop Deployment

Donald Trump has encountered resistance to his plan of dispatching the military to municipalities with Democratic mayors he calls disorderly, following a US district judge prevented his team's plan to dispatch the state militia to Portland, Oregon.

The President had stated on 27 September that he would deploy troops to Portland, “approving Complete Power, if necessary”, overlooking requests from municipal leaders and the Oregon's representatives. A group of seventeen city leaders in the area had opposed the troop movement.
