Week 10 again delivered, with a huge upset for the Bills demonstrating the 'any Sunday can bring surprises' saying that draws so many people into the National Football League

That result may have opened opportunities for the New England Patriots to creep back into a leading position they formerly held, with a schedule that gives them an edge over their 8-2 rivals

Meanwhile in the National Football Conference the Seahawks and Los Angeles Rams had perfect results to arrange a monster clash next week, while our top performer is chasing records as well as the Most Valuable Player award

Analysis - Just a Bad Day for Buffalo?

Josh Allen in action
Did Josh Allen attempt too much or could it simply have been a bad day for Buffalo?

Could it simply have been an emotional comedown from defeating Kansas City last week or something more? That's the question for the Buffalo team to answer

The Bills had secured seven victories in a consecutive games against the Dolphins but were second best from the start as the Dolphins emerged as 30-13 winners in an eye-opening outcome - and display

MVP quarterback Josh Allen only achieved the team's opening first down in the third quarter and first points in the fourth - yes Miami had 10 days to get ready but it was still a massive egg laid by one of the NFL's best offenses

Dolphins quarterback Tua threw two scores but running back De'Von Achane was the devastating difference, with 225 total yards and two scores

Bottling up the NFL's top running game was also key, with Cook and company registering just eighty-six yards, their fewest of the year and just over fifty percent their 161.5-yard season average

Additionally there were the three critical turnovers, and the two from Josh Allen in particular. An interception in the scoring area resulting in a nine minute possession produced nothing, and his final quarter fumble that Miami converted to a touchdown just later

It was classic 'old Buffalo' as they shot themselves in the foot, getting into a deficit on defense and Josh Allen trying to overcompensate to rescue his squad out of it - rather than the composed, disciplined, balanced Buffalo team we've seen this year

Miami have served up a bit of everything this season so the jury's out on whether this is the start of a trend, but for the Bills they'll require an immediate bounce-back in a difficult matchup against the Buccaneers in week 11 as the Patriots are sneaking into a nice lead at the top of the AFC East

Spotlight - Patriots Identify Route to Surprise Top Seed

Regarding the Patriots, they're one of three 8-2 teams in the NFL, all AFC teams, but could they be the top team?

One could find flaws in the Patriots, Denver and the Colts really for dominating the lesser sides, with only five of their total twenty-four wins coming against teams with a winning record - and one example was the Indianapolis defeating the Denver

The Broncos defeated the champion Eagles in Philly and are masters of the fourth-quarter while Indy can rely on Jonathan Taylor, but the Patriots adding Sunday's victory in Tampa Bay to their primtime success in Orchard Park appears to be a statement

Their two defeats occurred in new head coach Mike Vrabel's initial three contests, with seven straight victories, similar to the Broncos, from that point - but taking down Baker Mayfield after the Bucs had a bye to get ready was huge

Maye's Most Valuable Player credentials won't go away, and he definitely earns point for bravery after taking some hard tackles in Tampa but persevering to guide his team to success

The defense is solid and first-year running back TreVeyon Henderson exploded on game day with 147 yards and two exhilerating scores of 55 and 69 yards - becoming just the fifth different ball carrier to break 22 miles per hour this year on his initial touchdown

Although you can debate who 'the best' is technically, the Patriots should be favourites to finish with the top record due to their remaining opponents - which includes just one game against a successful opponent, albeit a significant contest against the Bills

Visiting the Ravens is challenging too, but the Broncos have it even tougher in the AFC West division with the Kansas City to face two times, the Los Angeles Chargers (who could also challenge for top seed but encounter the same problem) and also the Green Bay on the fixture list

The Colts also play the Chiefs, and have the Seattle, San Francisco and two matchups with the five and four Jacksonville to face. There's a considerable distance to travel but the opportunity is available for a surprise number one position in the AFC

Next Week - Los Angeles and Seattle Prepare for Week 11 Showdown

Both squads with strong arguments to be superior to all of the three eight and two teams are National Football Conference West opponents the Seattle and Los Angeles, who each scored 40 burgers to reach seven and two ahead of next week's Hollywood blockbuster game between the two in LA

Both have secured four victories in a consecutive games, have signal callers in Stafford and Darnold performing at an elite level (although Darnold had ball security problems on Sunday) with excellent pass catchers, and defenses giving up under 20 points a game

Both could easily be without a loss as well - particularly the Rams as their pair of losses came in overtime against the San Francisco and then that painful defeat in Philadelphia when they had a game-winning kick with the last kick blocked and returned by the Philadelphia for a touchdown

Seattle were also defeated to the 49ers, with a last-minute score in the opening week, before falling to the final play of the contest against the Tampa Bay - so they are genuinely two of the top teams in the NFL

The next matchup on Sunday could be the most exciting of the season to date

Top Performer - Taylor
