American-Palestinian Teenager Freed Following 270 Days in Israel's Detention

A American-Palestinian adolescent after completing a nine-month period in Israel's custody without being charged was released.

Mohammed Ibrahim was 15 at the time of his arrest in February within the occupied West Bank, where he was visiting on holiday from Florida under suspicion of rock throwing at Jewish settlers, which he previously denied.

American diplomatic officials expressed satisfaction with the news of Mohammed's release.

Currently aged sixteen, required hospitalization right after being freed, relatives told the media.

They said he is pale, underweight, and experiencing medical problems developed during imprisonment.

Via family representatives, Mohammed's uncle spoke of the family's "immense relief".

Family member Zeyad Kadur said the family had been "surviving a terrible, unending nightmare" over the last nine months.

"Currently, we are focused on getting Mohammed prompt healthcare he requires after experiencing mistreatment by authorities and brutal treatment over several months."

The state department stated they would maintain to extend consular services for the Ibrahim family.
